Dog That ‘Hates Baths’ Found Sneaking Into Neighbor’s House Every Night to Join Kids’ Bath Time

When two dogs form a bond, it’s a sight to behold.

Regardless of their breed or size, whether it’s a towering Great Dane befriending a petite toy poodle, or two playful labs or huskies, their camaraderie is undeniable.

They engage in playful wrestling, chase each other with unbridled joy, and even share a rope toy in a friendly game of tug-of-war.

After a day filled with such energetic activities, they love nothing more than a nap.

In the heart of this story is Aeida, a stunning jet-black Staffordshire bull terrier.

She adores her human family, but her heart truly belongs to her neighborhood friend, Cashew.

Despite Aeida’s athletic build and smaller size, the two dogs are inseparable.

Their bond is so strong that they yearn for each other’s company daily, and their absence leaves them noticeably disheartened.

To ease the longing of these two canine companions, their families came up with a brilliant solution.

They decided to install a doggy door in the wooden fence that divided their homes in Melbourne, Australia.

This allowed Aeida and Cashew the freedom to visit each other whenever they wished, eliminating the need for their human parents to arrange playdates.

Aeida, being the social butterfly that she is, was particularly fond of Cashew’s little human siblings.

One day, Aeida’s parents noticed her absence and naturally assumed she was spending time with Cashew.

However, Aeida was up to something far more unexpected and amusing.

To everyone’s surprise, Aeida had made herself comfortable in the warm, bubbly bathtub with the neighbor’s children.

Nicole Ackehurst, Aeida’s mom, shared with The Dodo that they were taken aback by her antics, as were the neighbors.

“Aeida is very friendly and loving. She really just loves everyone and anything — especially our neighbors’ children.

Our neighbors sent us a Facebook message with Aeida sitting in their bathtub,” Nicole recounted.

What made this incident even more surprising was the fact that Aeida usually detested baths.

However, it seemed that the presence of her little human friends made the experience enjoyable for her.

So much so, that she began to join them in the tub regularly, turning it into a cherished ritual.

Far from being annoyed, the neighbors found Aeida’s bath time visits endearing.

They welcomed her as an extension of their family, and she became a permanent fixture during the children’s bath time.

The joy and laughter she brought into their home were irreplaceable.

The bond between the two families and their dogs was so strong that they considered each other’s pets as their own.

Cashew, too, seemed to enjoy Aeida’s playful antics. “She will join them at bathtime at every chance she gets.

I’m pretty sure our neighbors love having her over, just as we love having Cashew come over, too.

Aeida and Cashew are great friends and have such a strong bond. They’re both considered great parts of our families,” Nicole added.

Aeida’s love for bath time with her little human friends was so profound that she would even jump into an empty bathtub, hoping someone would fill it up and join her.

Her adorable antics not only brought joy to her family and neighbors but also serve as a heartwarming reminder of the unique bonds that can form between humans and their furry friends.
